Dear prospective student,
In general, students may arrive later, but we recommend arriving at the latest one month after the semester has started. You will find a late arrival letter on Primuss (Application Portal -> Application Process -> "Confirmation For Visa") that you can present to the embassy or consulate should they ask for it.
Please clarify with your study program coordinator/ faculty if a late arrival is in the scope of possibilities and request information about the examination regulations/ deadlines.
To find the contact of your
study program coordinator, please visit our homepage (Click on your study program,
and on the right-hand side you can find the coordinators contact details). We
recommend putting the faculty in cc, too.
(Only contact your faculty: dekanat-i dekanat-i@thi.de;
dekanat-e dekanat-e@thi.de;
dekanat-wi dekanat-wi@thi.de;
dekanat-m dekanat-m@thi.de;
dekanat-bs dekanat-bs@thi.de; dekanat-ni dekanat-ni@thi.de)
For your information:
There are more students from countries with large intake numbers that just
start attending classes as soon as they arrive at THI. That might be in the
middle of term or even in the next term. A late arrival would lead to missing
out on classes and you must take the risk to defer a few exams to the next
term. Consequently, it can lead to a longer
study duration, and you probably have to work harder to catch up. If you cannot
manage to arrive in time, we recommend networking with your fellow THI
students.
On our homepage you can find information for international students and in our cloud detailed onboarding information is provided.
We wish you all the best,
Your IWC
