You can only apply for a higher semester if you have already studied the same degree program at another German university.
It is not legally possible to apply for a higher semester if you have studied a different degree program in Germany or at a foreign university.
In this case, you would need to apply for the first semester and go through the regular application process.

Exams you have already taken may be credited toward your degree after successful enrollment, provided they are equivalent. However, your documents can only be reviewed for this purpose after enrollment is complete. You can then submit a request for credit transfer through the student portal.
