in a step by step guide which can be found here: Bachelor application from abroad
Applicants who did not acquire their school leaving certificate in the Federal
Republic of Germany have to apply twice.
a) Submit documents to uni-assist (https://my.uni-assist.de/ ). uni-assist will check them and
return a preliminary inspection documentation (in German:
Vorprüfungsdokumentation, VPD), which contains information regarding an
applicant's entitlement to study in Germany. The VPD then has to be submitted
to Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. A VPD is valid for three years.
!!! Attention: In case your relevant previous
education was acquired in China, India or Vietnam you need an APS certificate
in order to apply at uni-assist!!!
We recommend submitting the documents to uni-assist until 5th of December as the VPD then has to
be submitted at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt until 15th of January at
the latest.
Application at uni-assist is possible during
the whole year, you don't have to wait for the application period to start.
b) Apply online at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt: PRIMUSS application portal
The application period (for the summer term only which is starting on
15th of March) is from 15th of November
to 15th of January.
For the first time this year, applications for the ARC program are also being accepted for the winter semester. The application period for the winter semester (beginning in October) runs from May 2 to July 15.
On the PRIMUSS portal you will have to upload all the necessary documents including your VPD. You can still upload documents within the respective periods (there will be deadlines per document in the upload area) after you have sent your application online (there is no need to send hardcopies for an application).
