VPN Connection to the University

With a VPN connection (Virtual Private Network), you can log in to the university's internal network from outside the university network over the internet.
The Central IT Service provides university members with a system that enables access to non-public services of THI. These include, for example, access to group or home drives.

After your PC at home has established an internet connection – for example, via any internet service provider – an additional encrypted connection is established to the THI network. Once the connection is successfully established, your device has a secure connection to the university network.
