Student ID Card

Paying with the university ID card

Each student receives a university ID card at the beginning of their studies. This card can be used to pay for all university services—such as certified documents, grade summaries, library reminders, or printing credits. To do so, you must top up your balance at the Student Union's automated machines located in the cafeteria and the library. After topping up, services can be processed via the GiroVend terminals located in the library, in the Aula next to the elevator, and at the Service Center for Academic Affairs. Additionally, the balance can also be used in the cafeteria.

Using the card as a library card

The university ID card also serves as a library card. The use of the lending terminals will be thoroughly explained to you by the library staff during your first weeks of study.

Card no longer working

If your university ID card is no longer functioning, you can have it checked at the Service Center for Academic Affairs (SCS). A new student ID card can also be issued there.

Lost card

In case of loss, you should immediately report the card as lost at the Service Center for Academic Affairs (SCS) and at the library. This prevents potential misuse and allows for the issuance of a new card.

New semester, old data on the card?

The university ID card can be updated at the beginning of the new semester at the card printers located on campus. These are situated at the GiroVend terminals in the library or in the Aula next to the elevator.
